The Whiskey Jack (or Grey/Gray Jay, or Canada Jay) is well known as a "camp following" bird, and to me is a welcome and friendly sight (they're often seen at higher elevations among coniferous trees). This image started out as an experiment in contrasts and complementary colours between the blue feathers and the orange background. However, some people think that this is a jay in a forest fire, or in some kind of trouble for sure...
