Ode to a Mother Tree is an illustrated poetic narrative written by Jamie Bastedo and illustrated by me, James Savage.

I was privileged to illustrate Jamie's beautiful story with about forty digital paintings created with Procreate on an iPad. The book follows the life of a Western red cedar across deep time, through fire, renewal, connection, and change.
