Red fox - study

The intense gaze of this fox gaze tells us that it's in command of its realm. Stunningly backlit, it was hunting not far from my home in the winter. This is sometimes called a "cross fox" because it's assumed to be a cross between a red fox and a "silver fox" - but I understand that it's really a red cross variant, with no "crossing" involved.
